The Big 12 has announced its 2024 conference soccer schedule.
The 2024 season will mark the debut of Arizona, Arizona State and Utah in the Conference while Colorado rejoins the league, expanding the number of teams to 16. The Big 12 soccer lineup will include the four incoming members along with BYU, Baylor, UCF, Cincinnati, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia.
The 2024 season schedule consists of 11 conference matches, with each team having five or six home and away contests. During the seven weeks of conference play, teams will have three weeks that feature just one league match, while the remaining four weeks will feature two matches for each team.
Throughout the scheduling process, regionality and travel were considered, minimizing long-distance travel where possible.
League play begins Thursday, Sept. 19 and ends on Friday, Oct. 25 with all teams in competition on both days.
The top 12 teams at the end of the regular season will advance to the 2024 Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship held Oct. 30-Nov. 9 at the CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
Following its three selections to the 2023 NCAA Tournament, the Big 12 has had two or more teams receive bids to the postseason event since its inaugural season in 1996. Arizona State and Colorado were also selected for last year’s field of 64 teams.
Member institutions will announce their non-conference schedule and match times when available. TV designations will be released at a later date.
The 2024 NCAA DI women’s soccer season kicks off Aug. 15.
