Double beans curry recipe, a flavourful side dish with fresh ground masala. Makes a healthy snack too as we can have it as such like sundal.
My MIL tries various recipes from TV cookery shows, one such try is this double beans curry recipe. I had no idea about double beans before marriage or even never knew there was one such bean existing. But When I tasted for the first time, I found it tasty and healthy. Perfect when You have no vegetables in your fridge!
Legumes come handy if you have in stock when you run out of vegetables or even to include legumes once in a while. The fresh masala is base for many of my vegetable side dish like vazhakkai curry or potato curry. I learnt this from my mom in law and just love it.

Double Beans has a thick skin.
Should it be removed after soaking or after cooking it?
It splits if it's done so either ways into two halves.
How to manage this?Reply
Raks Anand
I don't do it usually, even if it gets separates, I let it be in the curry. Are you cooking it with salt? Because salt prevents over cooking and I guess it will help the bean retain it's skin though not all, atleast 60-70 percent of them. Hope it helps.
