#WorldMalariaDay: In 2022, the world witnessed an estimated 249 million malaria cases, with an alarming 608,000 lives lost to this preventable and treatable disease. Since then, there has been slow improvement, but much remains to be done.Learn about two recommended nonprofits providing effective solutions in the battle against malaria:🛡️ The The Against Malaria Foundation (AMF) is on the frontline, distributing life-saving bed nets to protect families from malaria-carrying mosquitoes: https://lnkd.in/ddmdXztY💊 The Malaria Consortium's Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) program provides preventative treatment to children throughout Africa, reducing the risk of malaria during the most vulnerable months: https://lnkd.in/dQR8H3XsThe journey towards malaria elimination is also gaining momentum, with three more countries being declared malaria-free in 2023. This monumental achievement brings us closer to the vision of a malaria-free world.

    Thanks to our generous donors, GiveDirectly has made a significant impact in Bikereri village, Rwanda. Last year, 340 individuals contributed a total of $235K, benefiting 192 families and empowering them to improve their livelihoods.
