Toffee Banana Recipe

Each day it is getting colder and colder in my place. Few Weeks back we were totally living in AC room, we just can't come out of it. It was that hot here. Last week we switched from Ac to fan, but yesterday we just shut off everything and was bundling ourselves in blanket. The climate is amazing. I am loving every bit of it. This is the perfect time for take out food too, my favorite is some hot parotta, salna and chicken fry from near by shop. Last night we enjoyed that amazing combo a lot.

Now coming back to today's recipe, it is a kind of fun food. You have equal fun both while making and eating it. These are Chinese, it is so yummy. Specially if you have kids around you, i am sure they will have lots of enjoyment. When i first saw this recipe is food safari show, i was so amazed, because dunking the bananas in cold water seemed so new to me and i just wanna try it immediately. I had my fingers crossed when i made it, but to my excitement it came out perfect.

There is something from the hard outer sweet layer and the Squiggy soft interior which makes it more tasty. This taste even more heavenly when serves with some cold vanilla ice cream and drizzled with some caramel or chocolate sauce.

I tried this but the bananas became very sticy and hence difficult to remove from plate. Is this because I havent dipped it ennough in cold water?

    Reply

  9. Aarthi

@AnonymousNo it is because, you didn't cook the caramel enough, you have to cook till it is golden, this way they will set as soon as you dip them in ice cold water
